REAL TALK ABOUT ECONOMIC MOBILITY IN CHARLOTTE: A BLACK MALE PERSPECTIVE
This community conversation will engage audience members in a facilitated discussion about issues of economic mobility in Charlotte through the lens of African American men. The themes that will be addressed include the following:
- Understanding the progress of low-income families in Charlotte
- Assessing the promises of local political leaders
- Gathering community input on what needs to happen for Charlotte to provide more upward mobility for lower-wealth families
- Empowering community members, particularly young African American men, to become more civically engaged
