Homeownership Education Courses

Manuel Teaching
Financial Empowerment Education and Counseling

If you require coaching to help build credit, learn to budget, and save in preparation for homeownership, this program is where you should begin. This virtual course is offered in English and Spanish, and the non-refundable fee is $50 per individual and $65 for two individuals planning to purchase a home together. Fees include a credit report and scores from three credit bureaus, the required series of classes, and unlimited one-on-one counseling.

After completing this course, you will receive one-on-one counseling from a DreamKey Partners HUD-certified Homeownership Advisor to help plan your journey toward homeownership.

House Charlotte
Homebuyer Education

Providers require this course for first-time homebuyer loan products and may also be required as part of a down payment assistance option. The course is offered in English and Spanish, with both virtual and in-person options. After completing this course, participants will understand the mortgage loan process, credit reporting, how to find a home, insurance, home inspections, and information about down payment assistance.

Online Module (Option One)

The Framework online homebuyer course is offered in three required steps. The non-refundable course fee is $75 per household.

Part One must be completed online and finished before moving on to Part Two.

After submitting the Part One certificate, participants will be scheduled for a required two-hour, in-person class on March 12, 2026

Upon completion of Part One, participants must email their Certificate of Completion to education@dkp.org.
